Critical Illness Insurance

Critical Illness Insurance Pays for Expenses Other Plans Don'tOther types of insurance simply aren't designed to meet the additional expenses of a serious illness or condition. They may help pay some of your hospital and doctor charges, or even replace part of your lost income. You may use your critical illness insurance to help pay for other unexpected expenses such as:
  • Experimental treatment
  • Travel expenses to and from treatment
  • Out-of-network doctors and hospitals
  • Childcare and eldercare
  • Insurance deductibles and co-payments

Consider that:Men have slightly less than a 1 in 2 lifetime risk of developing cancer, while the risk for women is a little more than 1 in 3.1 On average, every 45 seconds someone in the United States has a stroke.2 Critical illness insurance can affordably protect you and your family from these additional expenses.1American Cancer Society. Are You a Fool?

Are you a consumer or a contributor? Are you a person that pours into others lives or one that waits for people to pour into yours? Just a few questions for you.

If you don't know the difference let me go a little deeper. Jesus set the example this way. The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.
John 13:2-4
After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
John 13:5

You see the disciples were waiting around because there was not a servant to wash their feet. Jesus, instead of waiting, chose to be a servant and wash their feet. Christ knew what was going to happen yet he chose to still be a servant and display a servant's heart.

You might ask why I am bringing this up. Many people attend church, pray, even attend a bible study group yet they feel no connection with Jesus. The reason might be that you are simply a consumer.

There is a basketball player that has a neat commercial out. It starts out with him in a huddle and then he looks at the camera and says "You're a fool!" "Because you thought this was about me!" Stop right there. This is not about us but about Him. If you feel your prayers are hindered, pray for others and see what happens. If you are in a financial nightmare, find a way to tithe and see what happens. If your church needs life, volunteer and see what happens. You see if you are a contributor and seeking him first, I am very sure all theses things will be given to you. Have a blessed week and remember you are no fool!

In Christ,
Al

Back Blogging

I said I would start doing it again and I guess today is as good as any other. I am talking about blogging. You see, I used to blog quite a bit a year or so ago on MySpace. I had to give that up because I felt the site was just crazy. Now I am on Facebook and Twitter and I feel I have more control over the madness hat is social networking.
As I write this blog I am sitting in Panera bread waiting for a health insurance appointment. My client is running late so I decided to make a few calls on Skype. I have decided that there is too much background noise so this is as good a time as any to blog.
If you follow me on Twitter, you will notice I posted a comment about referral business. I am having problems getting return referrals. My natural assumption is that my network does not take me seriously. So what can I do to fix that? To be honest my first response was, I will show them… no more referrals from me. You see my network is primarily made up of successful people. I mean these guys have been in the business longer than a minute. On the business food chain they are sharks and in comparison I am like zooplankton. My business has been going since August and needless to say in these economic times people are just scared. I will write about that in another blog.
So I am faced with this decision, find other new business owners and form an alliance with them or continue to stay the course. If you followed me on MySpace you will remember the point of most of my blogs was biblical principles in everyday life. I plan to continue this theme with the new stuff. So I back to the dilemma. I think I will continue to refer business to them, even those that are bad about returning calls. Although I don’t look at these folks as enemies, this scripture is stuck in my head;
Proverbs 25:21-22
21 If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat;
And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;
22 For so you will heap coals of fire on his head,
And the LORD will reward you.
I figure if I keep showing God’s light and treating them as I would want to be treated then I am doing what is required. Well I see my appointment is pulling up. Gotta go do the work thing. And remember if you are in Oklahoma, and you need life, health, or other insurance products I would love to talk to you.

Be blessed,
Al
